THE ONE WHO FELT EVERYTHING
I was the black sheep of the family
I'm Nicola McCarthy, The Soul Alchemist. I'm an intuitive, a medium, a channel and a guide, and I've spent more than 25 years helping people heal. But long before any of that, I was simply a sensitive child who felt everything and didn't quite understand why.
I felt things deeply, I saw what others didn't, and for a long time I believed that made me too much. I never felt I belonged or was fully understood, and I carried that sense of being different for years before I came to understand it was never something to fix.
1995 - FINDING MY PEOPLE
A language that was finally mine
I discovered holistic therapies, and for the first time I found my people. They spoke my language. Energy, healing, frequency. I devoured all of it, and I studied and studied some more.
In 1999 I took over a small holistic clinic called Earth Star. My spiritual side had been there in the background all along, and now it began to surface. I had spirit contact, and I started channelling guidance for the people who came to see me.
We are not here to stand still. We are here to expand and grow.
2001 - THE YEAR EVERYTHIG SHIFTED
Awakenings are not gentle
My whole world began to move. I expanded and grew, and at the same time everything I had built seemed to come apart. The people around me felt they were losing the old me. I know now that this was my awakening, and as painful as it was, it was always meant to happen.
The hardest part was that no one else could see what I could see. As I learned to let go, I was led to exactly the right people at the right time. Old pain, heavy energy, beliefs I had carried since childhood.
It is not easy to let go. But that is when the magic happens, because you have finally made space for something new.
2004 - WALKING BESIDE DAVID
The one I had walked with before
I married David. We had the sense of having walked together before, and we have journeyed side by side ever since. I had found macrobiotics when I was sick, and it changed my life. It is an ancient way of living, the understanding of the energy of food.
Together David and I went on to share it, opening a school teaching the Kushi Macrobiotic Levels, and spending years lecturing, cooking and consulting around the world. That philosophy still lives on in the I Am Rising membership we run together today.
WHERE THE WORK LED ME
Seeing the pattern was never quite enough.
My work began with reading people, seeing into their patterns and their pain. But people understood their own stories and still found themselves living them out again and again. What I was searching for was a way to change what sat underneath, the programming held in the subconscious.
That search led me to Belief Coding, EFT and Matrix Reimprinting, and they have become the heart of everything I do. These are the tools that finally allowed me to help people release their patterns at the root rather than simply understand them.
